Lifestyle Medicine Experts

The Triad Longevity Academy Led by Dr. Obinna Eleweanya, a clinician with 34 years of experience, who founded the School of Healthy Lifestyle in 2017 with like-minded Lifestyle Medicine physicians while pursuing advanced training in Edinburgh.

The long-term strategic objectives of the Academy are to promote public awareness of healthy living by advocating the tenets and pillars of lifestyle medicine. This aims to empower people to become their own best healthcare providers. The academy's purpose is to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to make better health and decisions—decisions that are specific to their unique status, practical, joyful, and long-lasting as a way of life rather than fleetingads. The academy provides cutting-edge programming based on the 3Ms (Mouth, Muscles, and Mind) concept.

Healthy Lifestyle & Aging

Aging is a natural process that all living organisms undergo. It is characterized by a decline in physical and mental function, as well as an increased risk of disease and death. While it is not a disease in the traditional sense, some scientists argue that the aging process itself can be considered a disease because it is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality.

One of the hallmarks of aging is the accumulation of cellular damage. This damage can occur due to various factors, such as exposure to toxins and radiation, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

As cells become damaged, they can lose their ability to function properly and eventually die. This can lead to a decline in tissue and organ function, which is a common feature of aging. Another hallmark of aging is the decline in body's ability to repair and regenerate damaged cells and tissues.

As we age, our bodies become less efficient at repairing DNA damage, which can lead to the accumulation of mutations and the development of diseases such as cancer.

The third hallmark of aging is the loss of homeostasis, or the ability to maintain a stable internal environment. As we age, our bodies become less able to regulate body temperature, blood pressure, and other vital functions, which can lead to the development of age-related diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

Overall, while aging is not a disease in the traditional sense, it is a complex process with a decline in physical and mental function and an increased risk of disease and understanding the underlying causes of aging and developing interventions to slow or reverse the aging process could potentially have a significant impact on human health and longevity.

Our objective is to highlight how these factors can be modified to achieve healthy aging.
